How to Deal with Tracfone customer assistance

The first step is to write down the Serial estimate of the phone you are working on (big enough so you can read it). I also write down the Pin estimate from the Airtime card and the Bonus code if I'm using one.

The key to get your Tracfone Complaint taken care of is to be firm, persistent and patient. Do not lose your temper, remember the Tracfone buyer service population would like to cure your problem if they can. Quite often the buyer service someone you will be talking to will not have had English as their native language.

With your Tracfone battery expensed up or plugged in and my numbers, sit down in front of the Tv to relax and be entertained and call Tracfone from a land line. This can take a while to get done. I have had to call back 3 or 4 times sometimes to get the problems solved.

Now call and try to get your problem solved. You will be put on hold several times. They will ask you over and over again if it is Ok if they put you on hold. Patience. Keep track of how long you have spent trying to get a resolution. Remember Firm Persistence.

Sometimes you will get bumped off the phone (accidentally hung up on) and you will have to call back in again. That is why I write down my serial number. The serial estimate is hard for me to read out from the phone screen. You may have to tell them the estimate 3 or 4 times. Don't get mad have patience.

If you can't get your problem taken care of ask to speak to a supervisor. Be nice tell them you have called in 3 times trying to get your problem solved and it still isn't solved.

When you ultimately get your problem taken care of tell them how inpatient you have been, how long it has taken, and how many times you have been hung up on. Then ask for some free minutes to pay you back. Often they will give you a code to enter into your phone for extra minutes and more access time. Regularly this has been 20 free minutes and/or 60 days access.

The key words, Patience, Persistence.

The buyer service population are trying to be helpful. They are reading directly off a computer script. They are required to effect the script exactly. The Supervisors seem to have a wee bit of leeway off of the script.
